Welcome to the Joseph Hood Primary School website. I hope that it answers any questions you may have about our school. The children at Joseph Hood Primary School benefit from a stimulating and rewarding experience enriched by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, an enthusiastic and committed staff and a strong supportive partnership with parents. We will develop each and every child’s core skills of literacy and numeracy, as well as their individual talents and abilities, independence and creativity.
We are a school committed to providing an excellent education within a community that values and respects each child and the qualities each individual brings. We welcome parents into the school and are fully committed to a true partnership between your child, home and school.
Our board of dedicated governors brings a wide array of skills, knowledge and experience to the school.  The governors, committed to ensuring that we get the best for the children, play a full and active part in the life of the school.
Finding a school for your child at any stage of education is a significant process; we know that finding the right school is an important decision. I hope our website will give you an insight into our school but to really gain an understanding of Joseph Hood we invite you to come and visit us.  You will quickly see the pride that the teachers, children and staff take in being part of the Joseph Hood community.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family.
Anita Saville, Headteacher
